Merry Belated Christmas

I don't think I've ever experienced a more emotional Christmas. It's had more ups and downs than a rollercoaster. The biggest two pieces of news are at opposite ends of the spectrum; my sister is having another child, and my grandfather just found out that he has an unknown mass in his lung. So my family is all atwitter at the upcoming addition (and I'm sure my sister will be thrilled about it when the sick is over, which won't be for another seven weeks or so), and extreme worry over my grandfather's health. Some good news we've had since the initial shock; Grandpa had a few tests done today and the Doctor is not convinced that the mass is

Another Thanksgiving come and gone

And now onto the official start of the Christmas Season. I have half my shopping done already and aim to get more of it done tonight. The holiday season around my family is never without its... ah... unique quirks. I imagine it's like that with any family, however, I only know how things tend to go with mine.Things are mild so far, a few small mishaps and one family member earning the title of Christmas Grinch (My father, the yearly champion... although my big sis nearly took the crown from him last year). The season has only just begun, however, and we haven't even made it to the family shopping trip yet. Let us hope this year it won't end
